Guarding the Pony Express

Taken with a Pentax K10D, this was July 2007. You will notice dust storms and haze in the background. Shot DNG raw and processed in Capture One build 16.4.3. Fort Churchill State Historic Park has the ruins of an outpost created to guard sections of the Pony Express Trail. It is described as being in an arrested state of decay. One of my favorite places in Nevada. Images taken late afternoon and evening. The K10D was an interesting and one of my favorite cameras however it had a tendancy toward very pinkish warm tones. But the same could be said for the Nevada sky.
